At least five people were killed and more than 30 injured in a Russia n missile attack on the Black Sea port city of Odesa on Monday, Ukrainian authorities say.Dramatic video footage of the attack, released by the office of Ukraine 's Prosecutor General, showed dozens of bomblets exploding within seconds of each other in an area close to the seafront.
The use, transfer, and production of cluster munitions is prohibited by an international treaty known as the Convention on Cluster Munitions. However, neither side – nor the United States – has signed the convention.Cluster munitions have been used by both sides in the war and have been transferred to Ukraine by the United States as part of a military aid package last year.
