The first Mexican-born woman in space made visited a high school in Orange County, where she spoke to students about the importance of seeking a higher education.
She told students: "The reality finally sets in and you realize that you're about to get on top of a controlled explosion because that's really what it is." "This doesn't necessarily mean that you have to go to a four year college," Echazarreta said. "You can go to a trade school, you can go to community college, you can get a certificate. There's so many different ways to get that education but the key here is figuring out what it is you like and learn more about it.
