The federal government on Monday declared a water shortage on the Colorado River for the first time, triggering mandatory water consumption cuts for states in the Southwest, as climate change-fueled drought pushes the level in Lake Mead to unprecedented lows.
Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the US by volume, has drained at an alarming rate this year. At around 1,067 feet above sea level and 35% full, the Colorado River reservoir is at its lowest since the lake was filled after the Hoover Dam was completed in the 1930s. Lake Powell, which is also fed by the Colorado River and is the country's second-largest reservoir, recently sank to a record low and is now 32% full.

All this happening since Biden/Harris came into office 🤦🏽♂️
What will happen to our civilization when all of our sources of water dry up? 'Will we dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore, then run?' Many ppl seemingly disappeared from the landscape in history, when their sources of water dried up. What will happen in 🇺🇸?
A few more years and people will be wondering: ‘who’s Hoover?’
🤣🤣 Climate change 👌👌 Nah that’s just Biden taking care of his own errr wait nvm Democrats don’t do that shit 🤣🤣
The early Anasazi people suffered an extreme drought around 1200AD which caused mass desertion of their homes, such as, at Chaco Canyon, etc. Perhaps this is a repeat?
Eventually there was going to be a drought, nothing to do with climate change
What about the crisis and deaths in Afghanistan?

And it's strange America still doesn't believe in climate change.
10 yrs ago California built a housing development of over a hundred homes. They realized they had no water for the development so they abandoned the project and bulldozed the whole area. Yet we keep building and building and building. Ask Egypt how this ends.
Its them damn windmills trump was complaining about, makes sense now!

Given that's the Hoover Dam, it's more like an energy crisis, it's a hydroelectric power plant. You can always desalinate the sea water, destruction of the planet is nothing if not opportunity for innovation.
By 'The West' you mean the western continental seaboard, not the geopolitical concept of Western Civilization, there's a difference...
Man, I was just talking to someone about how I sorta kept track of Lake Mead's dwindling... I hadn't in a while. Very sad to see this. I'm from Arkansas.. Nowhere near there.
