Final Four odds: Heading into the Sweet 16, who are the favorites to advance?

By now, there are no perfect brackets, as the first weekend of the 2023 NCAA Tournament is one that will go down in history.

Two No. 1 seeds were bounced from the Big Dance, including Purdue, as for just the second time in tournament history a No. 1-seed lost to a 16 seed. Fairleigh Dickinson beat the East Region’s top seed in Friday’s first round. West Region No. 1 seed Kansas was also sent packing by No. 8 Arkansas in the second round Saturday night, leaving only Alabama and Houston as the remaining No. 1 seeds to make it to the Sweet 16.

People are also reading… Speaking of sweet, this year’s tournament has been one for underdogs to savor, especially for No. 15 Princeton out of the South Region, which knocked off No. 2 Arizona on Thursday and then No. 7 Missouri on Saturday. This is the first time Princeton has made it to the Sweet 16 since 1967 and just the sixth time an Ivy League school is still dancing after the second round.
