Officers who responded to the scene found the teen unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Officers gave the teen medical help until he was taken by ambulance to Akron Children’s Hospital. He died at the hospital. The teen’s name has not been released. No arrests have been made but police say they are searching for a “person of interest.” No details were released on what led to the altercation.
