Fiesta traditions: Egg Ladies' vibrant cascarones fund San Antonio heritage

Senators are sworn in and will begin debate over the procedures for the impeachment trial of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.SAN ANTONIO - Fiesta may have just started for a majority of the city but the spirit of Fiesta is a year-round affair, especially for the members of NIOSA's Cascarone Committee, affectionately known as the " Egg Ladies ."

"Cascarones have raised more than $700k... this goes to the conservation society... so the historical buildings that have been preserved... that's part of the money that we have raised for it," said Judy Simon, chairman of the Cascarones Committee.
