Ella Jones, who was elected mayor of Ferguson, speaks out on where the US should go after George Floyd's death. It is crucial police officers work with communities to make people 'feel that they are being served, instead of being hunted,' she told CNN.

It is crucial that police officers work with communities to make people"feel that they are being served, instead of being hunted," she told CNN's Chris Cuomo Wednesday night. "The only way to do that is to have courageous conversations," she said, and to have"the police officers at the table with us."Jones' historic win comes as protests over the killing of George Floyd while in police custody grip the nation.

Where’s the outrage over all the cops being shot, stabbed, ran over, etc? Do Blue Lives not matter too And what about the black civilians killed by protests? Do their black lives not matter? American sees right thru your hypocrisy

Why didn’t any of this happen under BarackObama Asking for a friend...

Police Shooting 2019 (Source WaPo & FBI) - 371 killed by police were white - 236 killed by police were African Americans - 10 unarmed African Americans were fatally shot by police - 48 police were murdered - US population 325 million

Firstly, congratulations & I hope you don't mind if I make your victory part mine as I feel like we won. But in re your post, policing is only one aspect of this system of oppression with many heads as I'm sure you are aware & postulating is over, it's time for hard truths, real

It would seem like at this point it would be healthy for police unions and departments should reach out to local communities. Dedicate a few people to weekly or monthly meetings where citizens can discuss issues and relations. Keep the discussion going.

I wonder if the police were called on her when she tried to get to her office?
