FedEx customers won’t need an account to view the image.

FedEx will soon take photos of packages at your doorstep to provide proof of delivery when they don’t require a signature.

“This is something e-commerce merchants and customers have been asking for, and we are proud to be the first to announce this service will be available to residential customers,” Brie Carere, FedEx’s chief customer officer, saidThe free service will be available for both FedEx Express and FedEx Ground delivery customers with and without a login to the FedEx Delivery Manager, the company’s free portal.

The new program will obviously be a good source of protection for FedEx, and it should also help business owners whose customers report that their package hasn’t been delivered. It will also be a good resource for customers to figure out whether or not packages ever made it to their door, especially if they’ve gone missing.back in 2018. It was meant to provide proof of delivery and help customers locate their packages, but it was only available in certain areas.

FedEx says that the service will first be available for FedEx Delivery Manager users in “select markets” before launching to customers in the US and Canada in time for the holiday shipping season.Subscribe to get the best Verge-approved tech deals of the week. Please confirm your subscription to Verge Deals via the verification email we just sent you.

USPS needs to do this. But I am always getting the wrong mail and they lose a lot of my stuff. I know someone is not stealing it because I work at home and can hear when the mail comes

I wonder if they all would take pictures of the damaged boxes as well

If they would just ring the doorbell, that would really help. Usually we're home and don't realize they left something on the front porch.

i'm glad this is what they're doing,,,lots of people can lie about receiving the packages,,plus amazon already does this and i've already had an instance where they delivered to the wrong place,,,picture was not my home,,,so its a good thing

Try ringing the doorbell or a quick knock on the door you don't have to stick around just do it,at least we'd know to look outside instead of someone coming around to steal it as I caught this woman the other day my pkgs arrived 3 days early I didn't expect them till sun

Mine was photographed a while back .

My biggest complaint with all delivery people is they drop your package take a picture but never knock. I've asked so many times to KNOCK we aren't mind readers

Why are these protesters so upset, you can still get abortions.🤔 From the looks of some of them, they will never have to worry about needing one.👊

Good thing

ABOUT TIME FED EX DID SOMETHING, MY LAST DELIVERY WAS NEVER DELIVERED I LIVE IN PRIVATE HOUSING SO IT WAS NOT STOLEN IT WAS LEFT ELSE WHERE BY SOME MUSH MIND, BUT FED EX SAID NO WE DELIVERED YA SOMEWHERE ELSE

If you don’t like the way they deliver your package, go pick it up.🤔👊

I have talk with them FedEx about the drivers putting the packages behind my car that is parked under the carport they put the baggage And boxes behind my vehicle !!!! Thank you

Taking a picture is fine but the delivery person doesn’t even bother to knock or ring the doorbell. NOT GOOD!!

Amazon has been doing this for a while. And it means nothing. So what will keep a driver from sitting the package down, taking a picture and then leaving with that same package after he takes the picture SMH?

You mean they’ll stop marking it undeliverable without an attempt to deliver anymore?

God loves you all and you can all be saved (if not already) by just putting faith in Jesus Christ and repenting of sins (turning to God from sin and changing your ways for God) And you should ask for forgiveness of your sins (this can be anywhere) have a nice dayJesus is my lord!

It's about time

FedEx CEO after using Amazon for the first time...

So, they're finally catching up to Amazon and others who've been doing this since the peak of COVID.

I'd settle for them following my delivery instructions. What's the point of allowing me to add instructions if you won't follow them?

Still doesn't stop them from stealing what's IN the packages, just shows they dumped a box. My favourite is when support indignantly 'proves' to you your package was delivered but the house and number in the pic is completely wrong.

Just stop dropping packages at the door and actually deliver them to a person. Most of the world work like that and have no issues.

deray Hopefully they don’t pick it up right after they take the picture🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

Love to see another company adopting this awful practice that everyone hates.

Wait they haven't done that? Crazy world

deliver it - take a picture - take it. best solution ever!

Wouldn't taking dick pics be considered a workplace violation?

It’s hard to believe they are not doing this already. confused
