Emma was riding her bike near her home in Southwest Detroit on Monday when the dogs escaped from the neighbor's yard and attacked her, the station reported. A week earlier, her father, Armando Hernandez, had an argument with the dogs' owner about better fencing for the dogs, Emma's aunt Claudia Stapleton told the news station. "They didn't do anything," Stapleton said. A memorial to Emma has been placed her neighborhood.
The three dogs were taken to Detroit Animal Care and Control and are being evaluated."Due to the severity of this case, it is very likely that the dogs will be euthanized," the department said in a statement.'It just can't be real'Emma's family described her as"a wonderful child who touched the lives of those around her" on a GoFundMe page to raise money for her funeral costs.

I had a pit bull charge me. Only when the owner saw my gun pointed at the dog did he call it, and the police. The cops said we will arrest you, not him.

I hope the dogs owner is charge to the FULL extent of the law! This is tragic! And so avoidable! In my neighborhood dogs are always running in the streets. Why the HELL don't people take responsibility for their damn dogs Well, hopefully this guy will! Too late, though.
I wish pitbulls would have manditory spay and neuter until they just die out. Such dangerous, unpredictable animals bred to kill.

I have a neighbor with 2 pits. They harrass folks who pass by in the alleyway constantly. Recently one got loose & cornered terrified mentally challenged kid. Yesterday one was lose in alley while unwitting mom w/ newborn was loading into car.
