Henrietta, N.Y. — Over 200 people attended the Family Promise of Greater Rochester's 5th Annual 'Strike Out Homelessness Bowl-A-Thon' in Henrietta.

Wyoming County until 5 a.m. Monday. Snow amounts between 3-6" in Wyoming County. Most areas will see a coating to 1" of snow.The family-featured bowling event included a raffle and a balloon pop, with all proceeds benefiting families at risk or experiencing homelessness.

"I think the more the community knows the impact of poverty on families in our nation and locally here in Rochester," said Kimberly Hunt-Uzelac, executive director, Family Promise of Greater Rochester. "The more aware we are and the greater strides we'll take to address families living in poverty."

Before the first strike was even rolled, the event had already raised more than $2,000 with the goal of reaching $30,000.
