The National Guards were 20 blocks away from the protest site. There were no protest in that immediate area. That intersection has a gas station, a local grocery, Kroger’s and a restaurant.
Don't shoot at them and the odds of not getting shot improve pretty significantly
For those saying he shot first, the police fired rubber bullets. He fired back to protect his business and couldn't see who was shooting. He was friends with the police and provided them with free meals. He was not a thug. And the police regretted the incident.
