A new sneak-peek at Family Guy season 21 shows the series parodying The Silence of the Lambs. Created and voiced by Seth MacFarlane, the adult animated sitcom premiered on Fox back in 1999 and consists of over 380 episodes, making it one of the longest-running programs on television. As always, the show continues to follow the adventures of the Griffin family, presenting much of its humor through cutaways and scenarios that satirize relevant or popular topics.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Not long after the network announced its latest set of episodes, Family Guy was renewed for season 21. Beginning in September, the most recent installment saw Brian and Quagmire form a short-lived alliance to help the latter impress a woman and her pet dog. It also revived one of Stewie's most iconic lines, when it flipped the script and had Lois repeatedly call after him as he ignorantly sat by.
Longtime fans of Family Guy are accustomed to such episodes now and it will be interesting to see what MacFarlane and company do with The Silence of the Lambs. With stars like Alex Borstein wanting to stay on for as long as the show stays funny, it is certainly possible for this series to continue past its upcoming season. Those who enjoy its characters and humor can look forward to seeing what its new episodes offer when Family Guy returns to Fox.
