Gosling plays hapless stuntman Colt Seavers in The Fall Guy, which is based on the 1980s television show of the same name.
During a recently published interview with Fast Company conducted shortly after the Academy Awards ceremony in March, Gosling spoke candidly and optimistically about the possibility of a Fall Guy sequel. Indeed, he said that a script for the sequel has already been written because he and Blunt wanted to know what happens next, "just for ourselves.
The sequel sort of wrote itself. We already know intimately. We’re just hoping that people like this movie enough that we get to keep telling the story of these characters. We love them so much, and we love this world, and I feel confident that we can do it... Oh yeah, We already—I mean, we love these characters so much that we wanted to know, just for ourselves, what happens to Colt and Jody after the movie ends? What’s the next phase for them? And we know exactly what it is.
