Fall arrives this week. But when do the clocks change?

Thursday marks the official beginning of fall, and the season will be welcomed by temperatures reaching 99 degrees, according to a National Weather Service forecast. Record-breaking temperatures are possible during the week. The expected high Wednesday is 98 degrees, one below the Sept. 21 record of 99, according to a NWS forecast. Highs in the mid- to upper-90s are expected throughout the week, before a cold front brings cooler temperatures into the weekend and the beginning of next week.
