How much do you blame lack of enforcement by the Biden administration for the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border? For the first question, 81% blamed Congress – 52% a “great deal” and 29% “some.” For the second question, 72% blamed Biden – 47% a “great deal” and 25% “some.”that focused on seven swing states – Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin – found just over 60% of voters view Biden as at least "somewhat responsible" for the increase in migrants crossing the border.
For context, that is the second-highest reading Gallup has seen since it started tracking immigration data in 1981, behind 27% in July of 2019.tracked data in swing states and it found that 57% said immigration is a “very important” issue, while 27% said it is “somewhat important.”Gallup found little movement among Democrats. 10% said immigration was the most important issue in February, up only 1% from January. Republicans, however, saw a 20% increase from 37% in January to 57% in February.
According to Bloomberg/Morning Consult, only 3% of Democrats said immigration would drive their presidential votes, compared to nearly a quarter of Republicans.
