San Francisco Two months after the mass shooting at a mosque in New Zealand was live-streamed by the accused gunman on Facebook, the company is introducing new rules for the feature.
Starting Wednesday, people who break Facebook's"most serious policies" will be immediately banned from using Facebook Live for a period of time, such as 30 days. Facebook did not specify all the rules that it will use to enforce the new one-strike approach, but pointed to current community standards that prohibit spreading terrorist propaganda on the social network.
Who is going to decide if you broke a rule on Facebook or not? If I am accused of breaking a rule on Facebook will I be able to appeal that? Look at YouTube's content ID system how it's incredibly flawed and very unfair I only favoring the accuser.
So with Facebook coming up with these new rules is everyone going to be bound by the same rules and if anyone breaks them regardless of who they are are they going to face the same penalty or is there going to be favoritism among some people?
Why are we only reporting on what Facebook does? What about the other social media networking sites and platforms that allow live streaming are you also going to report on them?
Does that include posting opposite opinions of liberals?
