The FAA is warning air travelers about what it describes as a dramatic increase in unruly or dangerous behavior aboard passenger airplanes.

“It is not permissible and we will not tolerate interfering with a flight crew and the performance of their safety duties,” Stephen Dickson, the administrator of the FAA, said of the wave of incidents. “Period.”

The bad behavior appears to be taking a toll. Angela Hagedorn, a former flight attendant with Alaska Airlines,“It has been an exhausting time for all the employees who are just trying to do their job according to their company’s policies," she said. “The constant arguing and pushback from guests, it’s ridiculous."

“What we have seen on our planes is flight attendants being physically assaulted, pushed, choked,” Nelson said. “We have a passenger urinate. We had a passenger spit into the mouth of a child on board.

Give back seat room and leg room that you took away from passengers and stop treating them like cattle going to the slaughter where passengers don't get claustrophobic and unruly.

The FCC should've warned the Capital Officers of the unruly passengers who used their Airlines to fly in, only to storm the Capital! The FBI should've used footage from the Airports... I know the, 'To Catch a Smuggler' Airport Security, noticed those horns...

Minimum 30 days in jail and fine from $1,000 to $10,000 depending on severity of dangerous behavior. Also require them to buy a 1/4 page ad showing their mugshot and details of criminal behavior in local newspaper.

Many of us have been turning the other cheek for years. Now rebels have been empowered to publicly challenge, insult and incite conflict. At some point, law abiding people have the right to defend themselves.

No fly list.

Just ban them- forever. Problem solved.

Should not allow air travel until pandemic calms down a lot more. Greed on behalf of airlines.

The majority are over masks!

Man, I wonder who all these unruly passengers support politically. No, I really don't wonder -- I know. Deplorables

Time to raise airfares.

Mask debates all over the place now

Put them on permanent NO Fly List America have had enough of this Maga and Qanon Shite

The vaccine is affecting these people, when the plane reaches certain heights.

Have at it, fools.

White Americans can no longer avoid 'the talk,' too. Our U.S. history is littered & documented with acts of violence perpetrated by White Americans against all other Americans. The time for atonement for the sins of our fathers, this generational curse, has come due. No denying.

Sleep agents soon?

Because people think its cute to fight ona plane and record for social media for a couple of likes

“Zero tolerance approach, fines up to $35K, and lifetime bans.” Sounds good to me.

Will Stewards carry stun guns?

Let's be honest. This is all antimaskers. If they're so worried about their 'freedoms' that they can't wear a piece of cloth on their face for a few hours, they can drive.

Ie the Mask Police. Have had several flights where I’ve pulled my mask down quickly to scratch an itch, get a quick drink, etc and had people leaning into my space demanding I stop. Most I ignore, or I tell them to exit my space and call flight attendant.

'It is not permissible and we will not tolerate interfering with a flight crew and the performance of their safety duties,' - FAA chief '...now taking a “zero- tolerance” approach - passengers face potential criminal charges, fines up to $35k or lifetime bans on certain airlines'

brooklynmarie I suspect that most of the people flying these days are Covid-denying jerks because who else would be flying anywhere these days. So of course they're acting like jerks. The flight crews deserve hazard pay.

kenjeong Let me guess. Conservatives?

Deplorable

It begs the question whether hypoxia may or may not be a factor.

Anti maskers are at it again

Let me guess, ANTI MASKERS are going insane being asked to wear one! Airlines should put all of them and those that aren’t vaccinated on the same flight!
