Duck schnitzel at Otto’s, sub-freezing martinis at Chase’s Place, gochujang ribs at Eaker Barbecue.

But there’s only so much that even the Otto’s German Bistro team could do with a place that’s been around since 2004. August E’s had its moment, to be sure, in the years before Fredericksburg’s restaurant scene rose to meet its popularity, when it was one of just a handful of “nice” places in town.
