If you would like alerts on this and other ADOT news, sign up above to receive our GovDelivery notices.The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for intermittent lane restrictions along State Route 260 in Pinetop-Lakeside over the next several weeks. Beginning Monday, April 10, crews will do pavement overlays on the roughest sections of the highway now that the weather is warming up.
Drivers should allow extra time and adjust their travel times accordingly while the following traffic restrictions will be in place weekdays from 6 a.m to 4 p.m.: The highway will be reduced to one lane in each direction at various locations between mileposts 347 and 358 where crews are making pavement repairs.Pavement overlays use patching material and oil to smooth out rough patches of road. Crews will also make use of a milling machine to remove a section of rough pavement. A sticky oil is sprayed into the area being fixed before the milled pavement is layed back down.
