jasongay Or maybe the 41 bowl games have something to do with it

jasongay

jasongay Skewed do heavily to SEC it might as well go to 8

jasongay Due respect to the university where I work, it is not fair for one school in a mediocre conference to spend a fortune on facilities and coaches, enjoy a 28-point spread every week and stroll into the playoff. Schools like Georgia get a raw deal for being in a better conference.

jasongay Money is also the reason I personally believe college football needs some radical conference changes. Put the schools that have spent fortunes on football (Clemson, Alabama, etc) in the same conference and let them battle it out.

jasongay The format makes u play every game like a play off keep u on ur toes

jasongay Nah

jasongay Rankings should go back to BCS system; current committee process has made it a subjective joke CFBChamps

jasongay More bowl games=more income for colleges-any payment to players. Scam.

jasongay Eliminate ALL school sports! Y Academics is why you go to school!

jasongay

jasongay Yes to 8 team playoff. But you have to keep the random other bowls around or else “haves” get 15 extra practices evey year and other programs fall further behind.

jasongay What urgency was there ever in the 8000 bowl games?

jasongay How many football games can you expect college kids to play, without pay, to generate billions for schools, & then keep mouthing the BS that they are student athletes getting GREAT “free” education. Right. Yale & Harvard not playing.

jasongay Remove all urgency from bowl season, increase revenue, limit regular season cupcakes:

jasongay No. The playoff has made the regular season amazingly relevant for all 12 weeks. Keep it as it is, or even pare it down. By the way, tell me who is in first place in the NFC South and any NBA division. What percent of Americans know? Playoffs water down regular season interest.

jasongay So money will push it to 8 teasm, there will still be arguing over which team was ranked 9th and 10th and should have gotten into the playoffs, and teams ranked 6-8 will be beaten by more than 10 pts making those games unwatchable.

jasongay Make it more like the NFL playoffs college football

jasongay I hope so, and soon. It is deeply unfair that non-power 5 teams don't have a single chance to make the playoffs, no matter how well they do.

jasongay And expanding it will suck the life out of the regular season, especially if they implement guaranteed invites to the big conferences.

jasongay Good ole money, is there anything it can't do?

Trump directs USDA to expand work requirements on food stampsThe Trump administration is going around lengthy farm bill negotiations to push for rule that would force more people who enroll in food stamps to comply with work requirements. Since the Farm Bill is providing handouts to farmers, do they have to comply? I mean they should all be drug tested and all have verifiable employment? I don't understand why anyone would be against this? Why would anyone be against asking people who are capable of working - to work? Why is it they want to spend billions on a wall and reject feeding poor people?

Amazon leases another 10 aircraft from ATSG to expand Amazon AirAmazon.com Inc. said overnight that it will 10 more aircraft from Air Transport Services Group Inc. as it expands Amazon Air's network, increasing the fleet to 50 aircraft. Amazon's stock rose 0.7% in premarket trade Thursday, after closing Wednesday at an 8-month low. The 10 additional cargo aircraft will consist of Boeing Co.'s 767-300. The 40 aircraft Amazon previously leased in 2016 were also Boeing 767 freighters. "By expanding the Amazon Air network through our partnership with ATSG we're able to ensure we have the capacity to quickly and efficiently deliver packages to customers for years to come," said Dave Clark, senior vice president of worldwide operations at Amazon. Earlier this week, when Amazon package-delivery customer FedEx Corp. was asked about potential competition from Amazon Air, Chief Executive Frederick Smith said he doesn't see Amazon Air as a peer competitor, and doubts it ever will be. Amazon's stock has tumbled 24% over the past three months but was still up 25% year to date, while the S&P 500 has lost 16% the past three months and 7.7% this year.
