Nissan Motor Co's new Ariya electric vehicle has been hampered by problems at its high-tech production line, four people familiar with the matter said, slowing delivery of a car designed to put the automaker on the road to a comeback.

Output over the next two months is expected to fall short of that, according to production planning notes from last month reviewed by Reuters. Infrastructure should be the first priority, I know people who have electric company cars and still use fossil fuel pool cars PHEV for long journeys 😆

WHY SO BIG, NISSAN? The world cannot afford huge vehicles, however powered. Stop this madness, auto-industry! Stop selling people cars bigger than they need!!

Can't say I'm shocked. There is certainly a trend of legacy automakers facing an uphill battle as they enter EV production. Though one would think that Nissan's experience with the leaf would be more helpful!
