Ex-Husband Of ‘Real Housewives N.J.’ Star Charged With Hiring Mobster To Assault Her Boyfriend

Tommy Manzo, ex-husband of ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star Dina Manzo, hired a member of the Lucchese crime family to assault her then-boyfriend, and threw the assailant a “lavish wedding reception” at a deep discount in return, according to anCaroline Manzo and Dina Manzo of"The Real Houswives of New Jersey" in August 2010.U.S.

Perna is a “made” man in the Lucchese crime family, according to the indictment, which means he pledged “fealty” or “allegiance” to the family “for life.” Prosecutors allege that Perna carried out the assault in the parking lot of a Passaic County, New Jersey, strip mall on or around July 18, 2015.by street gangs, in order to “inflict serious permanent injury,” according to the indictment.

In exchange for the assault, Perna held his wedding reception at Manzo’s restaurant for a steep discount that was paid for by another Lucchese associate and close friend of Manzo’s, according to a DOJ release. The two men were charged Tuesday committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity, and conspiracy to commit a violent crime in aid of racketeering; Perna was additionally charged with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, while Manzo was charged with falsifying and concealing records.. Both men face up to 23 years in prison on the racketeering charges. Manzo and Perna each face an additional 20 years and another $250,000 fine for their separate charges.
