The current run of Edge of Spider-Verse explored more of Weapon XIII's background, a variant of Peter Parker who was taken by the Weapon X program and turned into a weapon, much like Wolverine. Madame Webb makes it clear to Miguell that Weapon XIII, along with heroes like Araña, Spider-UK, and the traditional Earth-616 Spiders like Peter and Miles, will all play major roles in the war against the Sinister Squadron.
