Every former Dallas-area athlete heading to Super Bowl LVI

Dallas-area schools are well represented in this year's NFL playoffs. Across all 14 playoff teams, 27 schools have at least one player in the postseason.This story has been updated following the AFC and NFC Championship games.

Ask anyone who knows what they’re talking about and they’ll tell you: No one does high school football quite like the great state of Texas. With it’s reputation of producing some of the best football players in the country, it is no surprise that Texas high school football has its fingerprints on every single NFL playoff team. Narrow the parameters just a bit, and focus on just the Dallas-area products and the impact is nonetheless impressive.

Across all 14 playoff teams there are 31 players from the Dallas-area in the postseason. They’re pretty spread out too, as 26 Dallas-area schools have at least one player on a team’s active roster — and many of those players have some big roles to play in their team’s coming clashes.Cincinnati Bengals
