Seoul on September 1, 2020. - K-pop sensation BTS has become the first all-South Korean act to rule the top US singles chart, industry tracker Billboard announced on August 31, with their English-language"Dynamite" hitting number one. Sometimes, it’s all too easy to assume that those with money, power, fame or success are immune to some of the difficulties that “regular people” have to deal with...but that is simply not the case.

BTS took to Twitter to share their sad experiences with anti-Asian hate and discrimination, which the seven members discuss candidly to their millions of followers. In a posted, the boy band claim they have “endured expletives without reason,” been “mocked for the way we look,” and “we were even asked why Asians spoke in English."

The South Korean group doesn’t shy away from opening up in their short post, admitting that not even they can"put into words the pain of becoming the subject of hatred and violence.” The septet wrap their message on an inspiring note, insisting that they all"stand against racial discrimination” and “condemn violence.” The seven vocalists conclude by planting an important flag, saying “You, I and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together."
