Here's what the EBU had to say about the controversy regarding Eurovision's decision to include Israel this year.

The logo of the Eurovision 2024 displayed during a press conference of at the headquarters of French-spoken public broadcaster RTBF in Brussels Feb. 20, 2024.Song Contest over Israel’s inclusion, the European Broadcast Union has issued a statement denouncing the “harassment” of Eurovision artists for the same reason.

Directly addressing the controversy, the EBU’s statement reads, “While we strongly support freedom of speech and the right to express opinions in a democratic society, we firmly oppose any form of online abuse, hate speech, or harassment directed at our artists or any individuals associated with the contest. This is unacceptable and totally unfair, given the artists have no role in this decision.
