The European Union on Tuesday gave the green light on a new law thatby 2035 as it looks to clamp down on emissions and curb climate change.

E-fuels are considered carbon-neutral because the amount of CO2 emitted from the vehicles when fuel is combusted is balanced by the amount of CO2 that is pulled from the atmosphere to produce the fuel. The law was reportedly expected to make it impossible to buy new vehicles with combustion engines within the next eight years though Germany’s negotiations potentially paved a way for traditional vehicles to continue to be sold. , and are expensive and energy intensive, as they require roughly five times more renewable energy to produce than charging up a battery for an electronic vehicle, reported DW.

Combustion cars continue in EU after 2035 with e-fuel exemption | AutocarExemption for e-fuels could be a lifeline for the combustion engine. What do you think - a good idea? Fantastic idea and finally some common sense amongst all this EV nonsense! I think fewer people will choose internal combustion as battery technology improves. You don't see kids flying RC racing drones lamenting the loss of noisy, oily glow engines. The same thing as in 1991, we would have discussed whether typewriters could be sold in 2005. We could sell them, but no one had bought them for years.
