France and Germany desperately tried to hold theon defence, a plan that would make it the world’s third-largest military power, after America and China, by 2030.
It will be 'fun' (in a macabre sort of way) to see how accurate this turns out to be. Put another way, I know of no reason to dismiss this scenario out of hand.
