EU looking to deescalate Persian Gulf tensions, call on Iran to stick to 2015 nuclear deal despite US pullout.

In this photo released by the official website of the office of the Iranian Presidency, President Hassan Rouhani speaks in a meeting during his provincial tour to the North Khorasan, Iran, Sunday, July 14, 2019. Rouhani said his country is ready to negotiate with the United States if Washington lifts its economic sanctions.

Iran recently begun surpassing uranium enrichment limits set in its 2015 nuclear deal, saying these moves can be reversed if the other parties to the agreement — Germany, France, Britain, China, Russia and the European Union — come up with enough economic incentives to effectively offset the U.S. sanctions.“All these gestures are really raising doubt about intensions” of Tehran, said Linas Linkevicius, the foreign minister of Lithuania.

Iran has said it needs improved economic ties with Europe since the United States has re-imposed harsh sanctions on Tehran’s oil exports, exacerbating an economic crisis that has sent its currency plummeting.

Why would they stick to a deal the US broke? Iran was honoring their end of the deal, Trump broke the deal against the advise of every nation on earth and is destroying their economy. Why should anyone with an ounce of backbone respond? They would fight back of course!

EU is banking on Trump losing 2020. Not a good bet. They better start making their own plans without the US market

Unlike the standard and common sense policy supported by the UK, the US and every other civilised COUNTRY. it appears that the TRADE GROUP (not a country) that is the E.U. Is perfectly happy negotiating with terrorists. If ever there was a moment to say 'Not in my Name' it's now.

More Chants, More Protests: The Dey Iranian Anti-Regime Protests … iran

Eye roll

Why the hell should they? If one of the major players is out, why should they stay? HAND OUT THE NUKES. Give the fuckin' things to everybody. It'd be nice to ban anybody from having 'em, but that ain't gonna happen. So PASS 'EM OUT to Yemen, Siria, Sweden, whoever.

I see no good reason to police their nuclear program if we're not willing to denuclearize ourselves bilaterally. This applies to a lot of countries

The US pullout has nothing to do with how Iran is ! They have always chanted ' Death to America' They have been coddled by the US long enough Let EU kiss their ass now

They owe us a drone.

Basically asking Tehran to fulfill its part of the treaty, while getting nothing in return. Nice try.
