WASHINGTON—The Environmental Protection Agency’s decision to scrap Obama-era climate rules for coal-power plants will have far-reaching repercussions if the move withstands legal challenges, advocates on both sides of the issue say.
The new EPA rule, signed last week, rolls back nationwide mandates that could have forced older coal- and gas-fired power plants to close. Critics of those mandates have said the EPA had overstepped its authority, and the Supreme Court had temporarily blocked implementation following legal challenges...
There is NO END to the Environmental INJURY the GOP is willing to let the American People endure.
Utilities are moving away from coal anyway. They see the writing on the wall. No investor owned utility is going to put a new coal plant in the drawing board in 2019 despite this ruling. Trump will be gone and the Move toward alternative energy will continue.
The Republicans actively hate the environment as TR and Gifford Pinchot spin in their graves.
They should be closed. That was kinda the point! We don't NEED that shit. Smh
If you have children, grandchildren or plan on it vote blue no matter who!
BTW I want to point out that it is President Obama, not Mr Obama as Mr Puko refers to him in the article.
How is this helpful to anyone...but the Corporations....😒
Truly deplorable
What a shock! Profits before people's health. Who cares if millions die of lung cancer?
This “administration” is allowing corporations to pollute at levels that are unsafe for humans. We will pay for generations - if we survive this GOP.
