DENVER — Communities across the country have the chance to get a big boost from the federal government as part of ongoing efforts to shift to electric vehicles.

At the moment, Denver Public Schools has just a couple of electric school buses in their fleet of traditional diesel and gasoline buses. "Taking as little away from the environment and giving something back is always important to me," said Samora. "We have basically a billion dollars to spend to give out grants," said Kerry Hick, environmental engineer with the Environmental Protection Agency .Colorado awarded $8.3M grant to maintain 363 EV charger ports across the state Sydney Isenberg 10:09 PM, Jan 23, 2024 The EPA is accepting applications for grants to help cover such costs, including related infrastructure costs.
