Inc. said it is taking legal action against its co-founder and former scientific adviser, alleging he altered data in two different drug studies.
The company said Friday that an internal review found that Serhat Gumrukcu, falsified two different sets of animal data generated by third-party research institutions. One data set was used for a study of inhaled Covid-19 treatment, and the other was used for a hepatitis B virus therapy study. Mr. Gumrukcu’s attorneys couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
