YES, THANK GODDDD

realmattcooke realandrewcooke I think this is for you.

This will be an excellent project as long as the silent-to-talkie era is represented properly. Silents weren't creaky placeholders until the 'good' movies came along. Also, do right by Clara Bow or so help me

circunloquio hola qué tal.

We deserve a reunion 🤧

Private education is booming in new markets and new formsAcross the world private education is booming. Though private schools and tuition promote inequality, Emma Duncan, our social policy editor, explains why governments should embrace the private sector's rise They would thrive and grow. Take away their absurd charitable status, then see what will happen! It’s necessary to pay well to all teachers, in private or not private schools. In order to ensure, high standards and quality in education. It’s the key issue, of private education success we’ll pay teachers, in order to garantie well prepared educators. The 'pig capitalism' based on the idea that if the public service will be bad enough, then the rich people & those who can afford it or not, will put the money or borrow money to get the private service. BUT, it backfires the whole economy because it leads to ineffective economy.

Finishing School Is a Twee Cult Horror Show in Paradise HillsFinishing school—reforming young rich kids into adopting the behaviors of their rich parents—has always struck me as an extension of unnecessary, vintage misogyny and, obviously, classism. If placing greasy elbows on the table is how you sit most comfortably, go for it! Paradise Hills, the directorial debut of Alice Waddington, takes the Darwinian, Stepford Wives-adjacent conceit and shoves it straight into the horror context it deserves. Judging by the trailer, it’s one wild ride. A young woman named Uma (played by Emma Roberts) is sent to Paradise Hills, a twee, Taylor Swift’s music video for “Blank Space”-esque remote charm school on an island with a dark story. In the nearly two-minute visual, Uma is shipped off to this place with no recollection but quickly learns that: a) It’s creepy, and the residents are drugged to sleep, and 2) The school is built with the promise of turning its students into “the perfect version” of their parents.
