Elon Musk dings Bill Gates and says their conversations were underwhelming, after the Microsoft billionaire buys an electric Porsche

During the interview, the 64-year-old tech grandee discussed the state of electric cars in general, noting that their range still falls below that of traditional gasoline vehicles. Consumers may experience "anxiety" about this when buying one, he said.They have both, for example, spoken about the dangers posed by artificial intelligence.

Both men have endorsed a book by Oxford philosophy professor Nick Bostrom, "Superintelligence," which warns of the risks to human life posed by AI.
