Elliot Peters is a self-taught filmmaker from Providence, RI. Receiving a homeschool education until college, Peters and his brother Phineas, gained a strong affinity for teaching themselves. After moving to the Central Coast of California in 2015, the brothers began seriously pursuing careers in film with their best friend Scott Haennelt.

Together the three of them have produced the award-winning short filmsPeters's taste in movies is enormously varied. Among his influences are the fast-paced comedic writing style of Amy Sherman Palladino , the mythological influence of George Lucas , Napoleon Dynamite Raiders of the Lost Ark , and Do the Right Thing .

Peters loves the work of Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, Michael Crichton and Anthony Bourdain. He enjoys a diverse range of music, including Nina Simone, Elton John, JID and Pheobe Bridgers.Elliot Peters is an award-winning writer/director, and has had experience in the fields of social-media marketing and newspaper journalism. Writing professionally since the age of seven as a book reviewer for his local bookstore, he now holds a BA in English and writes for Collider's Lists team.
