DeGeneres spotted the couple's tweet and invited them on to her talk show for a special surprise which airs Tuesday.
In the segment, DeGeneres said she can't make the wedding but gifted them a cardboard cutout of herself. The cutout has a moving arm with a tissue at the end in case"you need to wipe your face, you can have someone wipe your face like that." DeGeneres also surprised the couple with a second surprise proposal—with Sarah Sulsenti proposing to Austin this time, after Austin previously proposed in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The talk show host offered some moving words to the young couple, telling them:"For Kate and for all the people out there who are not accepted by their family, you are loved by so many people ... we love you for who you are exactly. For anybody struggling out there, just be proud of who you are and know that you're going to find a different family. Maybe that family will come around eventually but for now you have this family.
