Some of the nation’s top universities have received about $10 million from the “State of Palestine” over the course of six years, according to a new report.from 2017-2023 received approximately $10 million from the State of Palestine, which is not recognized as a nation by the State Department or the United Nations.

Open the Books classifies itself as an American nonprofit organization working to make government spending transparent “at every level.” These funds were used for “payment of tuition and fees for students from Palestine. Funds are also utilized to pay for educational related expenses incurred by the university for these students through their enrollment in this program.”
