Eliminating bias in hiring requires a shift in perception paid gradsoflife

We also recognize that on their own many companies fail to see their blind spots that then lead to the creation of barriers, barriers that ultimately keep out Opportunity Talent. Your top talent pool is out there, but chances are you’re missing out on those potential new hires because you are still hiring the old way.

Remove questions from your application process that have exclusionary language that might create bias. And while reviewing resumes of potential applicants, utilize tools such as thisaccessible ; remove steps that may create barriers to those who have limited resources, such as frequent trips into the office for interviews, projects that are overly time consuming, and clearly making a distinction between essential and non essential job functions.

It will take time to truly broaden your talent pipeline, refine your talent management systems, and successfully hire, recruit, and retain the most diverse pool possible.
