A leaker has posted a video showing the character creation suite in Elden Ring, leading to a host of strange and terrifying character designs. Developer FromSoftware originally planned a launch date of January 21, 2022 for the action role-playing game. However, Elden Ring's release has been pushed out to February 25, 2022 to ensure that the game's mechanics are functioning smoothly.
Elden Ring may not yet have launched, but some fans have already had the opportunity to go hands-on with the game thanks to the November Closed Network Test. Users were given the chance to apply for a code, which would grant access to a playable version of the game if selected as a recipient. The Closed Network Test was a resounding hit among players, giving a first-hand look at the world of the Lands Between, its combat, and its enemies.
Though FromSoftware's newest title has yet to release, players can glean sneak peeks from leaks online, though those looking to experience the game without such leaks are advised to peruse the internet with caution. As one of the most highly-anticipated releases of the last few years, and Elden Ring being Steam's most wishlisted game, it's perhaps no surprise that spoilers have been shared, and for those excited to experience the game, February 25th can't come soon enough.
