Funes, who governed El Salvador from 2009 and 2014, is accused of embezzlement and money laundering involving $351 million. The court said in a statement that 15 magistrates unanimously approved the extradition request. The former journalist who governed under the banner of the left-wing Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front party, which is an ally of Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, has said he is a victim of political attacks orchestrated by business interests and conservatives.

Salvadoran prosecutors have alleged that Funes used public money to pay for credit cards, trips, home refurbishments, vehicles and hospital bills.

El Pueblo plaza doesn’t need another tropical fig tree. Plant a native coast live oak'Replacing such a landmark tree — one that had, for 144 years, enthralled and shaded countless Angelenos — offers the city the chance to consider what our urban forest should feature in the next century,' Kitty Connolly writes in latimesopinion. The empty space was created when a 144-year-old massive fig tree gracing the plaza where Los Angeles was founded collapsed. opinion I’d rather see bottle brush trees. Better for bees & hummingbirds & we know They needs loads of help & are drought tolerant. opinion REPLACE THIS TROPICAL FIG TREE, even locate one that's older & needs re-locating? NOT JUST ANY OLE TREE? DO IT RIGHT?

This photo in El Paso shows why a U.S. border wall won’t stop immigration surge from MexicoPresident Trump has declared an emergency at the border. This photo shows why a wall won’t stop asylum seekers from flooding into the United States. Border patrol states they don't need the barriers to stop all illegal crossings, they need them to slow it down so they can respond. And that they don't come across in large numbers all at once. Wapo you know this. Wise up. A wall is pointless. Holding illegal immigrants accountable for the crime in a cell is much more effective Is this a news flash? Everyone knows this except for Lunk Head
