Nayib Bukele, the president of El Salvador, has sent a law to the country's congress proposing to make bitcoin legal tender.
The Bitcoin Law, if passed, would allow prices to be shown in bitcoin, tax contributions to be paid with the digital currency, and exchanges in bitcoin will not be subject to capital gains tax.

Why all this negativity in the comments? I propose people learn understanding the basics of blockchain tech and stop criminalizing it without any reasonable arguments
I’m sure it will work well as legal tender just like all the businesses that adopted it in the United States and Europe. You know the ones that use it every day , or month or once a year .
It already happened. Congratulations to El Salvador for leading the way for monetary freedom

Makes sense. Historically corrupt country switches national currency to a decentralized and secure cryptocurrency to launder money from criminal activities and not be detected. Crypto
Why is this guy like 17 years old and El Salvador doesn't even have their own currency so it's not like they are taking a big leap here. Pretty sure they take the cake as one of the most corrupt countries.
