Over at Echo Church, volunteers were busy adding the final touches for their festival and rodeo this weekend.
Riding, roping and barrel racing are just a few of the contests people will compete in. There will also be a mutton-busting competition for kids.This year, the rodeo was recognized as the best new rodeo.“We actually go to the food pantry and give out food every month. We feed anywhere from 70 to 100 families each month,” Erin Moore, the assistant coordinator, said.“It makes me feel wonderful to do that. There is a lot of need in the community,” Flinn said.
“We had I believe it was about 225 contestants who came and competed. We want them to want to come here and be able to put on a good rodeo. They are putting on a show for our community,” Flinn said.
