Initial supplies of any successful coronavirus vaccines are now expected to fall short of what is needed even for high-priority groups like health-care workers, forcing drugmakers and U.S. officials to grapple with the thorny question of who should be first in line.

This thread is killing me. It’s not alchemy. Vaccines are inherently safe. The worst that happens is that it doesn’t work. Unfortunately because of you doofuses we’re going to get nowhere near herd immunity because only 61% of the US trusts them “fancy doctors”.

Any vaccine available this fall will probably be safe, but it will definitely be rushed and not tested over a long period of time. It is too risky to give it to a large pool of drs and nurses at the same time. Let the market decide who gets it in Round 1.
