Hoy anunciaron que el cantante mexicano Alejandro Fernández recibirá el Premio Ícono en la sexta edición de los Latin American Music Awards 2021 que debido a la pandemia cambiaron su sede de Los Ángeles para la ciudad de Sunrise, en Florida.Los ganadores ser anunciarán el 11 de mayo en una ceremonia que incluirá actuaciones musicales en vivo así como un público limitado y socialmente distanciado en la Arena O2 de Londres.
Los Brit suelen servir de escaparate para el talento local, pero las nominaciones han sido criticadas en el pasado por no reflejar la diversidad de la música británica. En 2017, la academia integrada por más de 1.000 profesionales de la industria musical que eligen a los ganadores se expandió en un intento por hacerla más diversa y equilibrada en cuanto a género.
