Business owner prepares to rebuild after fatal Susquehanna Township crashA Lebanon County woman’s blood alcohol content was nearly triple the legal limit last Halloween when her car flew off a Susquehanna Township road, through a beauty salon and into a second one, police said.
Amy Krick, 47, hit Barbershop 160 so hard her white Mazda went through the building and into a second — Salon 160 — at North Sixth Street and Linglestown Road, around 5 a.m. Oct. 31. Police said the crash scene was discovered about two hours later, because it was a dark and rainy morning.. Susquehanna Township Public Safety Director Robert Martin said her death was ruled accidental as a result of multiple traumatic injuries.
Martin said Krick was going 101 mph with a BAC of .214% at the time of the crash. The legal limit for driving in Pennsylvania is 0.08%. Investigators found no evidence Krick tried to brake or steer away from the buildings before impact, Martin said.of rebuilding Barbershop 160, which was condemned after the crash. Salon 160 was not as badly damaged and can be repaired.
