INDIANAPOLIS — A woman is expected to be alright after she drove her13News spoke to the couple who helped pull her out of the water.
"You know the screech of tires when there's about to be an accident. So, I looked out our window. The car hit the curb and went careening into the water," said Becca Baker.The woman drove her car into the pond near West 62nd Street and Georgetown Road. "It didn't really hit me until the submerged vehicle and someone flailing that I spring into action," said Simmons."As he was grabbing her was when the vehicle went 75 percent submerged to all the way down. So, we're yelling at her from the bank, 'is there anyone else in the car?' I mean, that's just what we kept yelling over and over again, and all she said as we were getting her out was, 'no,'" Baker said.
Pike Township Fire told 13News, the driver is expected to be OK. It's still unclear why she went into the water.Related Articles
