A man was arrested in Ontario for using a case of beer as a booster seat.

reported that the boy was not hurt from the makeshift seat, but police have warned parents to never try this for themselves.

Ontario Police added that parents should follow safety regulations and put their children in proper safety seats. In the tweet from police, they added that"Children under 40 lbs. require child-seat" and children under 8 years old, 80 lbs. and 4'9""require a booster."changed its recommendation and suggested that parents keep their kids in rear-facing car seats for"as long as possible."

Experts explained that a rear-facing set may protect a child's head and neck better than a forward-facing seat. In the past, the recommendation was for children 2 and younger to use the rear-facing seats, but now the academy hopes parents will keep their kids in the safety seats until they max out the height and weight limitations even if they are older than 2.

reported that the police later said the beer was factory sealed, so the man was not in violation of open container laws.

Thank god the officer did not shoot first, ask questions later. ❤️ Nothing he did saved that baby’s life. The baby likely had a vasovagal episode and would have recovered without any intervention. Nice that he tried to help though 👍🏻 Everyday anonymous heroes.
