Peacock renews Dr. Death for season 2. Based on the actual events highlighted in journalist Laura Beil’s Wondery podcast, Dr. Death season 1 debuted last July on Peacock. Starring Joshua Jackson as Dr. Christopher Duntsch, a charming surgeon who uses his neurosurgery practice to mutilate and murder his patients, the first season of Dr. Death fared well with true-crime enthusiasts.
Now, Dr. Death is about to examine another case. Per Variety, Dr. Death has been renewed for a sophomore season at Peacock. Created by Patrick Macmanus, the show will switch to an anthology format and focus on a new medical true crime story each season.
