It’s definitely the thinnest pit area, just 24 feet across. As it happens, as the yellow flag starts to wave, before the chaos breaks out, NBC analyst and former driver Jeff Burton is literally calling it “the thinnest pit road on the circuit. If all these cars are bunched up, it’s dangerous.
This guy, whoever he is, he’s about to change Blaney’s right rear tire. If he’s aware of the chaos coming his way, he doesn’t show it. But the cars are starting to pile up, and at the last moment this guy looks to his left and sees Allgaier's car approaching. He turns his body as the car slides past, perhaps nudging him, perhaps not, but now comes the real trouble.

He enrolls in the NASCAR Technical Institute in nearby Mooresville, N.C. He and Tasha are a couple by then, and Zach graduates from NASCAR Tech, and soon he’s hooking up with Team Penske, located right there in Mooresville.
By 2014 he’s working on the NASCAR Cup Series on Joey Logano’s pit crew. He’s there for six years, including the 2018 season when Logano wins the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Before this season, the folks at Team Penske shook things up. Zach Price and his group went from Joey Logano’s team to Ryan Blaney’s team.
