The Downtown Cleveland Alliance will kick off a series of family-friendly events all winter long, starting with its annual tree lighting ceremony on Nov.26.CLEVELAND, Ohio-- The Downtown Cleveland Alliance is gearing up to host a series of family-friendly activities for Cleveland residents all winter long.
Individuals and families can expect a series of immersive activities -- from tree lighting and other entertainment to shopping across Downtown Cleveland and more.Downtown Cleveland AllianceVisitors can participate in several activities throughout the day, including supporting local businesses during “Shop Small Saturday,” roasting marshmallows over fire pits, and more. There will also be an array of food trucks to grab a bite to eat, according to a press release from the organization.
All the day’s events will lead up to the tree lighting, which will take place at 6 p.m., with a fireworks show to follow. In addition to the tree lighting ceremony, the organization will host a bevy of activities through February 2023, including “ice-skating, adventure days, outdoor recreation, fire pits, ice sculptures, and events such as IceFest,” the release said.
The nonprofit’s mission is to help attract residents, employers, and investment opportunities to the city of Cleveland and its residents. The Downtown Cleveland Alliance aims to position Cleveland as an inclusive, 24/7 global city and a hub for talent. It expects local events, such as the Winterland Festival, to help offer a lively and animated atmosphere throughout the town all season long.
